Picnic Day February 24

The YPLGC Annual Picnic Day will be held on Tuesday 24th February. After 9 holes of golf at Yarrambat Park GC, members will gather for lunch at Ryan’s Reserve, Broadgully Road, Diamond Creek. A highlight of the day will be the Gumboot Throwing Competition - can last year’s winner, Wendy Morton, make it back-to-back wins with her patented throwing technique?

Pennant 2026

The YPLGC wil again field two Pennant teams in the VGL Pennant Competition that commences on Monday February 23, and runs for six consecutive weeks (excluding Public Holidays), finishing with Finals on April 20.

Pink Day Tuesday March 24

The major fundraising day for the YPLGC is Pink Day, to be held this year on March 24. After an Ambrose competition where we paint the course pink in our themed golf wear, members and guests gather to enjoy a self-catered lunch. Members and guests can participate in a spirited Auction of goods donated by members and local businesses led by Stotty and ably assisted by Deb Galtry, and try their luck in our Raffles put together by Di King with generous member donations. Funds raised are given to Breast Cancer Trials, (BCT), who for the past 45 years have been conducting clinical trials with the aim of finding new and better treatments and prevention strategies for every person affected by breast cancer to save lives now and into the future.

Jellis Craig Sponsorship Day April 21

The YPLGC acknowledge the generous sponsorship of Jellis Craig Real Estate with an invitation for agents from their Eltham office to join us for lunch after our golf competition for the day.

YPLGC Club Championships April-May 2026

The YPLGC Club Championships begin on Tuesday April 28 with members going out in Grade and Handicap order. The second and third rounds will be held on May 5 and May 12 respectively, with May 20 available as a standby day should a round be lost due to poor weather.

Bendigo Bank Sponsorship Day September 15

The YPLGC acknowledge the generous sponsorship of Bendigo Bank with an invitation for agents from their Eltham office to join us for lunch after our golf competition for the day.

YPLGC Annual Trip - 12 to14 October

Around 40 of the YPLGC members will head north to the Cobram-Barooga Golf Club from Sunday 11th October to Tuesday 13th October for three days of golf, fun and frivolities. The theme for the Monday night Presentation dinner is “Gilligan’s Island”.

President versus Captain’s Cup - November 10

This year, for the third time, the club will run the President versus Captain’s Cup in a stableford format. Our President is looking to retain the Cup after last year’s back-to-back President’s team win over the team led by our Captain.

End of Season Function and Trophy Presentations - December 10

The YPLGC will celebrate the 2026 year with an end of season lunch at the Diamond Creek Tavern on Tuesday December 8. Trophies for the various competitions through the year will be presented at the lunch.
